I never stop at merely capturing what the lens focuses on, I strive for telling a story in a single frame, and creating the illusion of being there.
When I am shooting for myself, photography becomes a form of self-expression, a way of letting the soul get out to play with light, and then getting it caught again, in an image. I am most successful when the emotional state I was in when I took the picture "leaks" into the image and can eventually be felt by the viewer.
