Help Portrait is a charity event started by Jeremy Cowart. The concept is pretty simple, you find someone in need, you take their portrait and you give it to them.

Help Portrait is held once a year, and everywhere in the world hundreds of Photographers donate their time. I signed up in 2010 to basically anything, assist, cater coffe, whatever. I arrived early at The River Food Pantry and I ended up behind the lens, shooting and assisted by a great photographer (who's assisting who?) Daniel Serna.

Simple as it may seem, this event touches the heart of these people, many of whom haven't had their portrait professionally taken before.

Adam Jeske did a great job at documenting the "behind the scenes" and was kind enough to allow me to publish these here.
